Earlier last year, Sarah Katherine contacted me about her upcoming wedding in Beaver Creek. She described how it would be an intimate ceremony and reception with 25 of her family. She described that it was important for her to have her daughters be part of the wedding and that this was a joining of her family with Justin’s. Even before I arrived in Beaver Creek to photograph their wedding, I was excited to meet them. I love intimate gatherings and events.
When I arrived, Sarah Katherine was getting ready with her girls as well as her mother and sister. They were excited but laid back. Sometimes if it is an outdoor ceremony, everyone is nervous if its raining outside but not Sarah Katherine. She was beaming all day, almost glowing. It rained right as we drove up to Allie’s Cabin at the top of Beaver Creek Mountain. All the guests arrived and the rain just magically stopped. As Sarah Katherine walked down the aisle towards Justin, the most amazing haze hung around the mountain just beyond their cross.
The rest of the evening was filled with this sort of magic. There is something so wonderful about two people finding one another and even more so when their children can be a part of it.
